Our aim is to offer visitors a fantastic opportunity to take part in an inspiring day of fun and reflection. We are aiming to have a live link to Afghanistan and a salute to all our heroes at midday. Activities for the day include a Funfair, Punch & Judy Show, Birds of Prey Display, Re-enactment groups, Tigers Cheerleaders, Police Dog Handling, Vehicle Rides, Stalls and Side-Shows, Local Radio Show, Live Tribute and local bands and ending in a Firework Display. Parking and entry is free. Toilets/refreshments available. Profits from this event will go towards the Help for Heroes campaign.

The fantastic Freedom Festival will return for 2010 to build on the success of 2009 weekend, sponsored by Hull City Council, Visit Hull & East Yorkshire and Yorkshire Forward.
